7.6 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Philippines

The Philippines was rocked by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 intensity near the eastern part of Sulangan, Samar at 8:45 p.m. Philippine Time according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

As a result of the earthquake, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a tsunami warning for the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea and other islands around the Pacific.
